Covington - Mrs. Dorotha Mae Ferguson, age 72, died at 8:57 p.m. Friday, May 24, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient one day. Mrs. Ferguson was born in Covington, Oct. 7, 1895, the daughter of James and Ella Tittle Slim. She was married in 1916 to Herman O. Roberts, who died in 1931. She was married in 1935 to Monroe Ferguson, who died in 1958. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge and the First Church of Christ, Fifth St. Surviving are two sons, Louis Roberts of Mishawaka and Max A. Roberts of Lansing, Ill., two daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Mae McNulty of Braintree, Mass., and Mrs. Helen Down of Terre Haute; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First church of Christ, Fifth St. The Rev. Harold Fogle, pastor, officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery here. The Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home of Covington was in charge of arrangements.
